Flo and Wave have settled into their new outdoor premises. They now have their own private pool with a special access ramp for Wave. Flo jumped in immediately but Wave took a little while to work out to follow Mum up the ramp. She took to it like a duck to water and was last seen enjoying an evening dip with Mum when I put the rest of the birds to bed. Photos of the swimming lessons will be available soon.
I have moved Arabella and the six eggs into Flo's newly vacated cage. Room Service didn't have time to change the straw but she has clean water and some food which is all a girl needs really. So I wasn't planning on any more ducklings but it seems they are on their way as I write. Once I heard the little one pipping I couldn't resist and now I secretly hope they will all hatch tonight. We shall see.
In two weeks time I will probably be tearing my hair out with too many ducklings. It is lots of fun though...have I told you how cute she is?
