We had frost this morning which is hardly ever seen where we are in the Mountains. I let the birds out and they all ran over to the water for a drink. Then they all ran back and looked at me kind of strangely. I thought their water had run out. No, it was FROZEN! They were pecking at ice. It was so funny to watch. I went to turn the hose on for them but nothing came out. It too was frozen. I went nearly the length of the hose cracking it like a glow stick. I don't think the birds are impressed. Flo (bantam Saxony) jumped in to the Pool of Tranquility, in the hope of breaking the ice I expect. Must have been pretty cold in there!Flickr image: Uploaded on December 19, 2006 by luke1946
