Beautiful eyes

A local school is involved in Puppy Raising for Guide Dogs NSW/ACT. They have raised six dogs so far and four of them have gone on to become Guide Dogs. This year they have a yellow Labrador puppy called Jenkins. He belongs to Guide Dogs but lives at the home of one of the teachers.
Students in Years 5 and 6 walk Jenkins at recess and lunchtime and he sometimes goes to classes. He is taken to the Guide Dogs Centre for special training and also on excursions with the students. The kids love looking after Jenkins and understand that Puppy Raising is part of helping to provide 'eyes' for a blind person.
