This is my dilemma: I love my purebred birds, The Pixel Chiks (3 Australorps) and Dixie Chik (Sussex Light). I also really like being able to give their eggs away. I want some more chooks but can't decide if I should get the crossbred layers (more eggs) or a couple of Sussex Light (prettier girls) to join The Lone Dixie Chik. If I got the crossbred layers they would be called The Valley Girls (from Sun Valley Produce). We don't eat the eggs as my daughter is severley allergic to them. oh, something happened with the first link - if you do a google search for "hendersons chicken breeds" you will find a great summary table of all the breed and their various atributes!
