The photos are distressing and the details about how these birds have spent the first 14 months of their lives are horrible. Most the battery hen girls I adopted have now passed on but I still have 2 birds from that lot. Their lives are much happier (in fact I imagine they would have been turned into broilers ages ago if still at the battery hen place)
