Things are happening in the Chook Pen.
I have five new RIR POL pullet cross bred layers. Tashi, who my Godson named, Tiger, Toffee and Topsy and Turvy. The young ladies will hopefully fit in with the Pixels and Dixie okay. They are out and about now so we shall see.
I am also in the process of 'adopting' (if you can use that term to describe a duck) a beautiful Muscovy from the RSPCA. I have been to fill in the paper work for a premises (free) inspection and if I am approved and the bird is still available then I can go and collect her.
They often have Muzzies and other ducks so it is worth giving them a call if you are looking for some feathered friends. Once the premises inspection is approved it is valid for three months.
I will let you know how it all goes.

Congrats on your new girls! I like their names!
Any news on the little Muzzie? (Or better yet - pics???) *g*
No news.
Still waiting for the premises inspection.
I have not had ducks. Did some research on them but as I have a cat (which I had at my previous home and was the ONLY animal I had then)Mind you he has not touched the chooks when they are free ranging as he doesnt wander too far. He is scared of the birds like magpies and so on. I would like ducks.
