When I am not hanging out at BYP I am at our local pool while my kids are training. Nine year old girl burns the pool up at a record 46 point something and seven year old boy is not far behind.
21.56 seconds. That is how long it took Eamon Sullivan to swim the 50m freestyle final at SOPAC Homebush on Sunday. And he swam the heat with his goggles slipping down into his mouth and an injury received in warm ups.
Sadly his poor mother is probably completely over the physio and rehab that comes with three hip operations and various other 'niggles'. And he is only 22.
I think I will stick with three times a week at the pool and hope my kids don't show any great potential.
