My son has an obsession with cocoons. He brought 'Climber', a Saunders' Case Moth (Metura elongatus) home from school. We have relocated 'Climber' to our front deck where he/she has found somewhere safe to pupate out of reach of the 7yo. 'Coonie', another Case Moth, was not so lucky. We think 'Coonie' (as in 'CoCoonie') has died inside the container 7yo was housing him in. If anything happens to 'Climber' there will surely be tears.

Climber
