Last weekend Arabella decided the water was cleaner on the other side of the fence. She managed to become airborne and heaved her huge mass over the fence and into the neighbours crystal clear swimming pool. It was certainly a sight to behold. We raced next door and retrieved her from the pool. Her wing was promptly clipped and that was the end of it. Or so we thought.
Arabella must have told Priscilla about the delights of filtered water and the benefits of chlorine. This morning Priscilla took off to sample the cleaner pastures. Fortunately she didn't manage to clear the fence and had her wings clipped to prevent any other adventures.
The Great Escape is over for now. Unless the chooks think they would enjoy a cleansing dip in the freezing waters next door!

Hi Lucky C
I have had a duck fly over the fence and perch on the neighbour's roof. Banjo my Muscovy was given enough light in the yard to fly home after sunset.
I have enjoyed looking around your blog and have bookmarked it.:D
